Why Apptorney?

Millions of people in Zambia are legally excluded because of lack of accessible, affordable and accessible means of legal redress.

In a country of 17m people there exists only 1,283 registered lawyers who are concentrated in major cities and towns, leaving the rest of the country in a legal desert. To exacerbate the problem, the minimum rate for legal fees in $40 per hour.

We built Apptorney to challenge the status quo by providing access to affordable and sometimes free legal information and services using multiple technological channels with a special emphasis on inclusive technologies.
